Bridesmaids dresses. I could literally go on forever about the subject. They’re obviously number 7 on my list of top 10 things to talk about EVER. Sadly – it’s Friday so I have to keep this post short. Sadly I won’t be able to tell you how much I think that bridesmaids dresses have come a long way in the last decade. As an expert in bridesmaid-dress-historology I can knowledgeably say that we’re at the point where you can basically say ‘F*ck that’ to many things about your wedding – especially the bridesmaid dress-as-matching-uniform for your ladies. Heck. Your ‘bridesmaids’ don’t even have to all be ladies. Right? RIGHT.
It can even be as simple as saying to your bridesmaids ‘Here’s a color. Get a nice dress. I’ll see you there.’
So here’s a gallery of bridesmaids and their brides (and even a groom) so you can see what they look like – all together and not just on an invisible model. Because sure the bride is supposed to look brilliantly amazing on her wedding day – but that doesn’t mean the bridesmaids have to wear burlap sacks. Besides. Groomsmen are often too cool to really let loose so we all know bridesmaids are the ones you count on to MAKE THE PARTY HAPPEN later at the reception. So at least let them look good.
