I’m generally surprised by how… tolerant our friends are with my happy-clicking. It’s really gotten out of hand and while I’d like to stop, I just can’t seem to put the camera down. Unless, you know – I’m eating, but ESPECIALLY if I’m eating some bbq pork and duck from Ming’s BBQ. A group of our friends and Yelp folks stopped by there for dinner last night and fortunately, it’s exactly how you want a hole-in-the-wall Chinese restaurant to be. Small enough that you feel uncomfortable with a large party which means that you’re not going to get served food from the kitchen buffet line. I don’t really have food photos because there are experts like Tami and Broderick for that sort of thing.
While knowing that she probably wasn’t going to be able to get any good vegetarian fare, Leah joined us and ordered her go-to-vegetarian dish – Eggplant in Garlic sauce (even if it says it’s spicy it never is.) – Which is really just a much toned down and less interesting version of Hongshao Qiezi – which is a little bit more spicy, sweeter, and has a few more flavor nuances thrown in – if done right.
Still. Wednesday. Finally up to running 5 miles in a go. Haven’t done that since… November of 2005. I’m tired. Goodbye.
LOVE the photo of Lauren!! Thanks for the shout out 🙂 Your photos (and videos) are awesome. Great layout!
Once you become known as That Dude With The Camera (or Chick, in my case) people just accept it and start to ignore you… which is of course when you start to get all the good photos. There's nothing worse than being right on the verge of capturing a great moment, and then suddenly someone notices what you're doing and everyone stops the great moment and turns toward you and poses and smiles. ARRGH! Once they start ignoring you, then you can capture your moments in peace. They won't even know until they see the awesome photos.
Hey. That's… yeah. You're right. I forgot to think about it like that. (that's kind of a funny sentence.)
