Here’s the thing – I know this may be your first time getting married – and that’s okay. We all have a first time – and we all get through it.
SO. With all the planning you’re doing – you may not know when your bridesmaids should be dressed. The simple answer is – BEFORE YOU. Before you put your dress on.
You want them to be mostly dressed so that they can look good in the photos where they’re ‘helping’ you get your dress on and adding the finishing touches. You know – shots like these:
Oh – and that includes anyone else you have present while you’re getting ready – including your mom, or aunts, or cousins – whoever. If they’re going to be in those photos (or anywhere in the space) – they should be mostly dressed. They don’t need to have their makeup and hair even finished – but they should have their wedding outfit on. Shoes of course, are optional.
SO. See? Simple – everyone just needs to be dressed before you get dressed.
That doesn’t mean that you don’t get dressed UNTIL everyone else is dressed. NO. That’s the not the order of importance. THEY get dressed so you can get dressed. Or else they’re not in the photos.
It’s your wedding day! Be RUTHLESS.
And Hey. If I don’t see you on that day, have a great wedding.
