Photography as a Living

I fly out today for a wedding down in the Bahamas. These days we lead a particularly interesting life – with the BabyRoX and our Photography business in full on… growing mode… I’m shooting more than ever. It’s kind of an amazing amount work we’ve been receiving. And I know there are many photographers who specialize in one or two niches, and we’ve thought about doing that at times – focusing on one or two areas and turning everything else away. The problem is that I’m still interested in shooting everything.

I’m still curious to see what else is out there. How can I turn this, that, anything, everything into photos worth delivering? I have gear limitations and time limitations and well, height limitations – but it’s still really fun to not let those things stop me – and to keep throwing punches – to keep making photos worth delivering.

Because when you’re a real, working photographer like we are – you never have a good excuse for not delivering the goods. Excuses are for amateurs and Interns – not for anyone who wants to make a real living doing something as crazy as photography.

And I’m still shooting almost everything that comes our way.

OH & BTW – we’re always looking for models to work with – so if you’re interested, or know anyone who might be – send them over to our Model Application Page so we can setup a photoshoot with them. Thank you very much.
