We’re about to photograph a string of weddings – going from Maine, to Florida, to California, to Michigan, and then back up to New Jersey.
This is Lindsay & Sean – and as always – it was nice to have a wedding here in Atlanta. Leah and I have only ever attended two Superbowl parties in our lives. We met Lindsay and Sean at one of them. We were just starting out as photographers at the time, so we were all over the place, standing on chairs, falling off of furniture – everywhere with our big cameras in a tiny 800 square foot apartment with 30 people squeezed together to watch a football game. We’d never met any of these people before but we definitely stuck our cameras in their faces. Hey. That’s one way to get clients right? Well, lucky for us – all of those people at the party were too nice to tell us to stop.
Wedding days are crazy, and busy, and crazy. Somehow – in between the scheduled things that happen, other things just happen. Small things. The in-betweens. Looks, glances, gestures – and beyond simply making shots or giving a wedding a specific look – sometimes you just have to watch and shoot. And watch and shoot some more. No matter what happens. Just keep shooting, and working, and smiling – because really, if you’re a wedding photographer and you’re working a wedding – it’s always a great day.
Thank you Lindsay & Sean.
