You spent all that money on an amazing wedding photographer – so here’s my biggest piece of advice – SCHEDULE TIME FOR WEDDING PHOTOS.
Make the time in your schedule.
Just like anything else you really want to make time for on your wedding day – like the ceremony. Even if you don’t really want to take photos – if you hired a professional wedding photographer – get your money’s worth. And in order to do that, you have to make the time for photos. You should make enough time so that your photographer has the space and room to do THEIR WORK.
How long should wedding photos take? The short version? 1 hour and 17 minutes.
The long version?
Thirty (30) minutes for your first look/portrait session. Thirty (30) minutes for the family formals. And 17 minutes for the wedding party photos. Sure those times can blur and bend – but not the portrait session. It’s a minimum of 30 minutes blocked off for the portrait session. Give your photographer at least that much time if not longer. 45 minutes is great! I wouldn’t even know what to do if I had an entire hour! My head would probably explode!
So there you have it. That’s how much time it takes for wedding photos!
Alright! If I don’t see you on your day, have a great wedding and I’ll talk to you later!
