Finding Faces

Me and no sound.

I found some family last night on Facebook – 1st cousins that I haven’t really ever spoken to or known at all. Of all the ‘friends’ I’ve added on facebook, I’m probably happiest about those two. And while I don’t want to be too forward and jump ahead with assumptions, it’s nice to have the opportunity to get to know those members at some point over time.

You have to understand, Leah’s family is… a great example of a large southern family – as you can probably tell by the latest video in our gallery, she’s just got a lot of aunts, uncles and cousins and many of them live within driving distance if not within town. My side? Not so much.

So it’s nice to have made a connection with family that I haven’t ever known – and while I had originally planned on seeing how the conversations went before I invited them, and their parents, my aunt and uncle to our wedding –  they put it on the table and put the ball in my court. That makes things a great deal easier. I hope they can make it.

I blame Leah for all of this. Only a few years ago I was quite content living relatively alone, with few friends at all and everything in my head. I have to tell you that it would be impossible for anyone to spend as much time with Leah as I do and not have their heart open up to the world. I am still amazed at how much love for the world she has to share with everyone.
