Dear Subject,
I volunteer my photography services as often as I can. In most events, I haul in all my photographic gear, both owned and borrowed, to set-up shop- a backdrop with a simple flash- in hopes to take your portrait. But you do not grant me permission.
I go to great lengths of cloth, stretching myself thin, in hope that you will advance towards me. But never may I shoot you. Despite all my desire, yearning, and dramatic lighting to be with you, I can never get you to come… in public.
But then, within the cramped aisles of Homo-Depot, I addressed a personal inqueery and sketched a special plan to build us a photo-booth. Within this precarious and fragile cube made of PVC and streamers, it was here that we began to unveil.
So thank you for the glorious night.
So far, it’s been the best I have ever had.
With love,
