It’s all exciting and I have a lot of work ahead of me.
I’m actually happy to get back onto a regular schedule. I wish I was good with managing my own time – but without being forced into any real structure… I just… never get around to some things. Let to my own, I am not highly efficient at getting work done. It all just eventually gets done.
Of course… we’re both happy that the money situation is less of a burden and we can focus on other things – and we can feasibly save up/help pay for our honeymoon in case we don’t get enough through the registry donations. Still.
I was really going to sit down and attempt to write some eloquent and inspirational paragraph about how getting a new job is opportunity, and is the fatest way for a really bad situation to quickly turn around. Seriously. One day you don’t have a job, you’re worrying about finances now and in the future and you have a lot of unknowns – worse if you have children to care for – and then all of a sudden, on the day you find out you have a job, it’s like the floodgates open, or the brick wall you’ve been pounding against finally come crashing down.
Of course, that’s a best case scenario. WIth the way things are right now in the economy, many people are going to have to settle for much lower paying jobs just to pay the bills – if they can even get one of those right now.
Have a great first day on the new J. O. B!
Yep… I may end up having to take a 15-18K paycut…if I can ever get any interviews, that is! *sigh* We do have kids – four of ’em – and not having a job right before christmas, well…. that’s not good. Esp. when NO gifts have been bought yet..and now I don’t know how they’ll be bought at all.
Congrats on your job…that’s awesome and I’m really happy for you!
