I’m slightly obsessed with being better. Not better than you, not better than that guy over there, not better THAN anyone. Just better than where I was before. Further down the road to awesomeness. Or Nirvana. Or Valhalla. Somewhere.

I feel like I’ve done a TON of “working on me” lately, and I’m actually rather proud of myself, so I thought I’d share.

That’s one of the things I love most about being a part of the LeahAndMark.com family; we don’t just blog about photography. Sometimes, Leah blogs about her pregnancy journey and Jonah. Mark blogs about how awesome {he thinks} he is. Debra & Jo blog about family, and trips. And we all just blog our thoughts, sometimes.

I like that you’re getting to know me. 🙂

Get ready for the bullet list.

– I gave up fake sugar. Fake anything, almost, actually. There are exceptions, and we’re smart about it, but when we can, we buy organic, natural, etc. This was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, I think.

– I started drinking more water. It’s just about all I drink. It’s my favorite, now. Which is funny, coming from the kid who used to think drinking a lot of water was kind of . . . gross.

– I’m a runner. Let me say that again. I. Am. A. Runner. That same kid who didn’t like drinking water? She hated running. Didn’t do it. Walked the mile test in elementary, middle, and high school. And if there had been a mile test in college, I probably would have walked that, too. But now, I absolutely love running. It’s kind of gross how much I enjoy it.

– In a few weeks, I’ll be completely weaned off of store-bought shampoo, conditioner, face wash, moisturizers, deodorant, and toothpaste. Now, I’ll make it all at home, out of ridiculously simple ingredients. With no chemicals. For so much cheaper.

– I’m constantly listening to self-improvement audiobooks, virtually attending photography workshops, networking, collaborating with tons of new photographers, etc.

Mark. Is. Awesome. Thanks for hanging out with me. 🙂

  1. Dude! Running, drinking water and no sugar! That's.Hardcore! Good for you, and uh yay! 😀

  2. I don't know that I said thank you again (or enough) for your help and patience on Intern Night. So thank you. 🙂 Also, I hear you about the running thing. As in: if you see me running, call the police.
