But it’s good. I need this. I want to feel fit again. Back when I used to work out regularly, I would get this awesome, pumped-up feeling. That feeling came back today. Sure, I collapsed on the floor after my 27th push-up. And I was doing the modified knee push-ups, at that. And yeah, I had to soak in the bathtub afterwards because my muscles started cramping up. But I love that feeling of pushing myself. REALLY pushing myself. Getting out of my head for a while and into my body, which I have too frequently neglected the past several months. I need my body. It gets me places. It’s my vehicle for doing things. I want it to be healthy and strong. I want to be a badass, in-shape, energetic partner and social worker and traveler and mom and grandmom and great-grandmom.

This CrossFit stuff is tough. And I say… bring it on.

I love reading people’s comments! Yay! Okay, this is going to be a half-delirious post because I spent the night at the hospital last night and it didn’t involve a whole lot of sleeping…and I didn’t get much sleep the night before, sooo…extremely sleep deprived right now. Will be taking a nap shortly then heading back to the hospital.

My mom is doing really well so far! She came out of the surgery tired but fortunately clear-headed and not too nauseous. So, I’ll head back up tonight to fill up the room with more reiki and make sure she has ice chips and that the nurses don’t accidentally forget which knee was operated on and drop something on it. Hah. Actually, the nurses have been really nice and attentive. Yay for the nurses.

And thank you to James for beaming reiki!

And, because Gabrielle asked… the dress will most very very likely be a rendition of THIS, courtesy of Wai-ching.com (but minus the stitching on the front):

I’ll also have the top come up a little higher- that model is starting to bust out! Hah. Okay, keep the comments coming! We loooove you!
