As the title of this entry suggests, I’ve been let go from my job. Laid off. (Although I have never liked that term.) It happened yesterday afternoon around 1:30pm, relatively non-eventful and without any dramatic scenes. Basically, since I had changed departments a few weeks earlier and hadn’t ever unpacked my boxes – I grabbed the two of them, walked to my car and drove off – after deleting all of the junk I could from my work computer – mostly loose files that don’t mean anything to anyone except myself – just in time too because the IT guys arrived right after I had logged off…

Of course this isn’t my first time losing my job due to the industry/slowdown/company troubles. However, this one is slightly more inconvenient. Plus I’m not getting anywhere near the same amount of severance. I will say that telecommuting, and being a bit stubborn has helped in that I was paid ALL of my vacation time – even though arguably I wasn’t in the office for almost 6 weeks this year – but nothing’s on paper, and in the end I always completed my job duties. Although not much, the vacation pay helps greatly.

So while there is that initial stress of ‘not having a job’ – I can’t freak out yet. Not yet. I’m waiting on 2.5 jobs to get back to me with an answer so I’ve at the very least got to get through the weekend without freaking out. And still – it’s like red alert around here. Cost cutting measures and reduction. With real efforts towards curbing spending and such, we’ll be fine for at least two months – and that’s if I do NOTHING during that whole time (which obviously will not be the case.)

But I’m awake again today at 4:30am because I feel like I have to keep to my normal schedule… If I do not keep myself busy I will fall into that slump, that depression or overwhelming high anxiety that I suppose some people get after something like this happens.

And yet, we still went to our regular Wednesday night StandUp for Kids outreach – where we work/counsel/provide food and hygiene packs to at risk, about to be homeless and homeless RIGHT NOW kids. And although it’s very easy to become disillusioned with them, with their no action and lack of progress – lately I’ve been working with two youths whom I actually connect with. They live in an abandoned school which I’m sure is quite condemned. It’s been raining a lot here lately and I know the place leaks and floods badly. They didn’t even have flashlights until I gave them a few last night.

And while they may have made some unwise choices such as leaving their parents (which in cases like these is always a difficult call since MANY parents truly are that awful) – they are not like so many of the other kids. At least to me. They communicate. They don’t have that ungrateful attitude of entitlement that many other streetkids present (and I’m not saying that I don’t understand the facades that many have to take on). I simply feel like these two genuinely appreciate the help I give them, and are not taking advantage of the system that to a degree does enable their lifestyle.

Sure they have to turn some corners such as getting their birth certificates so that they can get an ID so that they can get jobs – but that’s in the works… and we’ll see how that actually goes. However until they let me down – but more importantly themselves down – I am left with thinking about them going back to that abandoned school that’s been flooded by the rain, and sleeping there at night.

That was yesterday.

No video today – and even less photos. But clearly I’m not done. Up above is an Animoto slideshow video of… well, obviously more photos – since we upload them to flickr.com but it’s sometimes too cumbersome to go thru everything – even I rarely go through other people’s flickr’s (except for those rare few.)

I got some good news today. Hopefully I can tell you all about it on Friday. And that would mean that FRIDAY IS POSSIBLY GOING TO ROCK! Even Still. I’ve been thinking and churning some thoughts in my head about how the next few years are going to be and exactly how we’re going to do whatever it takes to make it some form of reality. Mostly – eventually moving over to Asia, but then also – visiting again at least once if not twice before we move. Nepal/Northern India are next on the list, followed with… well, there’s so much that to make a concrete list would be… almost pointless since so many factors can change everything. We must still make it up to Tibet though. That’ll be awesome.

Pulled together these kind of feel like the Death Cab for Cutie Video: I will possess your heart. Oh look – here it is posted below. The weekend is coming fast and I look forward to all of it. I’ve had a bit of a break from studying/other things since Leah’s been in Phoenix – but mostly because I’ve come back down and decided to relax a little. I was pushing things and while there’s that margin between letting things happen and then what’s beyond a healthy measure of force – I was getting run down. So. I let go a little this week and wouldn’t you know – halfway good news today. We’ll see what Friday brings. Watch the slideshow up above, and watch this video below if you haven’t seen it – this is the long intro version though.

I think you’ll see where I stole some of my ideas on how I edited our music videos on the VideoLife page.

Yangshuo, China and The Giggling Tree Hostel
Up above is a collection of video clips taken with my Canon Point & Shoot camera. I think it gives a good impression of part of that leg of our trip.

We stayed at the Giggling Tree Hostel in Aishanmen …

Yangshuo, China and The Giggling Tree Hostel

Up above is a collection of video clips taken with my Canon Point & Shoot camera. I think it gives a good impression of part of that leg of our trip.

We stayed at the Giggling Tree Hostel in Aishanmen – one of the small villages that surround Yangshuo proper. It was… picturesque and a much better choice than staying at any of the hostels that were in the actual city part of Yangshuo. There wasn’t even a paved road for the last 3/4 of a mile leading up to the building. Now, even though it’s a small town in the south of China – things are actually more expensive in Yangshuo than they are in Beijing. This is basically a highway town and their main business is tourism. So. Getting a taxi to go the 1.5 miles from the Giggling Tree Hostel back into town? 30 Yuan. (For comparison, it’s something like 7 yuan for the 1st ten kilometers by taxi in Beijing.)

And be careful while you’re in town because you’ll definitely get ripped off here if you’re careless. (We didn’t have any problems in ANY of the other areas of China – maybe it was just our turn.)

For those reasons and the general atmosphere we felt in town – we were very happy to be staying outside and surrounded by the fields and karst peaks. Oh. The food prices at the Giggling Tree are slightly more expensive than what we were paying in Beijing also – but whatever. Still. You arrive, check in, and then start doing stuff. Rent a bicycle, ride around and go all over – all of your expenses are tallied and then totalled at the end of your stay so you aren’t paying every time you order food or do something. There wasn’t air conditioning when we stayed there but they were installing the units that week so the rooms probably have a/c now.

The owners are a dutch couple who were tour operators/guides in China for several years before they decided to open up the Giggling Tree. Very nice and accommodating – but their tour guide/sight seeing arrangements aren’t as good as you’ve probably experienced at other hostels. Their staff handle most of the services and arrangements – and they can get you a taxi into town – but that’s the majority of their ability. If you need anything arranged beyond that, they’ll get you a taxi so you can go to one of the ‘travel/tour’ operators in Yangshuo proper.

This became an issue when we were trying to book our trip up to Longshen to see the rice terraces and when we tried to purchase some airplane tickets. Our first couple of experiences trying to book the next portion of our trip – basically sealed our impression of Yangshuo proper and we both wanted to leave town AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. – Here’s one of our entries we posted while we were there. Clearly we were ready to leave town.

After desperately failing at booking any travel arrangements, we stumbled upon Robert at Travel World. It’s a booth just across from The KFC (yes, KFC) in the ‘old town’ – below is the scanned image of his card as it is glued in my journal. He basically saved our trip at that point. He arranged a good tour up to Longshen (good as in, we rode in a nice bus and not just a crowed van) and then also got us plane tickets with no hassle – we had an earlier experience that ate up 2.5 hours of our time.

Still. If we were to go back, we definitely wouldn’t stay in town and would probably check out the Giggling Tree again.

I would post their information but their website is pretty complete and you can definitely reach them both by phone and by email. I was emailing back and forth with my blackberry while we were on the 24 hour train ride from Beijing to Guilin… and that’s our review/resource guide to Yangshuo and the Giggling Tree Hostel.

Oh one more thing. Look for me near the bottom left corner of this photo – I’m on the bike.

Ahhhh… the glorious grainy and artifact filled quality of my Point & Shoot camera on high ISO setting in the dark…

We went to the Yelp Event at Table 1280 last night – good times – although I didn’t get to see some of you people that read our blog AND live in Atlanta… Gabrielle! But still, Leah and I had a good time. Different from other events, we didn’t really meet too many new people – but definitely hung out with the ones we already know. It’s just been too long since the last event for us so it was nice to hangout and catch up. Or, like me, talk and get to know the people I had already met.

Did I mention that we’re on Twitter?

So. A small group of us from Yelp are connected on Twitter and it’s quite awesome. Earlier attempts at using Twitter actually sucked – since it was all far removed strangers that I was ‘following’ – but now that it’s good acquaintances/friends – it’s like an on/off chatroom all day long. With other random people dropping in. Why use twitter? How do you use it? I don’t know. But it’s not… it’s not really a “People are interested in hearing what I say!” sort of endeavor – more like… you say all of those side comments of random/evil/funny thoughts that you would say to your co-workers/cubicle-mates during the day – to your Twitter friends.

And THAT’s what makes it worthwhile – at least for us in our group. I mean, sure there are tons of people who have figured out how to effectively use twitter as a marketing medium – but I haven’t, aside from the every so often post of “blah blah blah [insert something witty] and then Link to a Blog post at LeahAndMark.com”

Up above? One of the foods handed out last night – fried risotto balls and blurry in the background, three of our Twelp friends. DavidAtlanta! Laurens33! & JPCorpus! (He came up with the name Twelp)

Naoya and Shelli were there too! Yes. He is totally as cool as he looks in this picture. I believe we’re having brunch with them this weekend, or lunch, or some other excuse for drinks and a meal. Awesome.

A short Rant on UoP again (University of Phoenix.) So this week, I haven’t really ‘logged into’ the class forums and posted for either participation points, or to communicate with my team. I did tonight. But at some point, one of my team members posted:

I emailed Leo and Mark last night. I see that Mark has responded. Thank God. Still haven’t heard from Leo. Hopefully he’s ok and still part of the team. If he doesn’t check in one of us is going to have to do his part.

Now I admit, this may have just hit me wrong and I’m just being jerkish about the whole thing. (While staying at a hostel in Pt. Loma/San Diego, I met a Turkish guy born in Germany… well, those two things mixed together somehow – so me and my friend Amy started calling him Gerkish! (Jerkish)) But still. Really? Did she really have to say ‘Thank God’ – because it’s only Friday – in fact, it wasn’t even Friday night when she posted that. The team assignment (all of them) always consist of a 700-1,000 word paper. Broken in pieces + editing that’s like 300-400 words per person. I can write that without trying. I can write that in my sleep. I can write that in my sleep, underwater and still get all points for the freaking paper. (Trust me – I’ve gone on and on in my LJ quite often on the subject of way too dumb classmates and their embarassing writing skills – and even worse – we STILL get A’s on all of our team papers – and on my own individual assignments.)

Forget it. I’ll stop myself right here and just be passive aggressive and from this point on I’ll make sure that I NEVER post to the team forum UNTIL Friday night – just annoy them. Radio Silence from Tuesday to Friday night.

The Insides and more Fire

We have the weekend to conquer.

Clearly there are many things beyond my control. If you know me, I’ve clearly spent most of the past decade trying to control the few things that I can control. Whittling down the stream of consciousness to a mere three focuses – work, school, and exercise. That was a few years ago and these days – they are still a focus but not nearly as all-consuming as they once were. More and more I’m having to catch up and read and learn and generally increase the rate of information cramming – and I’m not even talking about the subjects they teach at school. I don’t know how I feel about things. We’ve said it before – but this blog has helped to remind us of everyday and stopped the constant rush of life passing by without us noticing. So I remember more. I remember part of what I was thinking or doing last week, two weeks or three months ago.

And I know I take many photos, and Leah’s always telling me to put the camera away, and I don’t – but there’s so much life that we capture while we’re living it and it’s just… I know that at some point I’ll probably fall out of the habit of keeping up with the photos and the blogging so religiously – and I’ll wish that I hadn’t ever stopped. So while we’re on a roll, while I’m on a roll, there’s no stopping. I’m still dealing with trying to keep the separation between showing our lives, protecting privacy/things that could come back to haunt later – while sharing something more meaningful than a steady list of ‘I did this, and then I did this, oh, and then that…”

And while I’m rambling and trying to spit something out – I suppose the summary is always simple. My summary to all of those printed thoughts up there is that I feel more aware, alive, and hungry for everything. To learn, to make stuff, to keep going with direction and purpose and knowing that it’s a real fight, a slight struggle to not get overwhelmed by work, by other people, by the insides of my head – life in general. And whereas I once spent my days distracting myself waiting for the weekend, waiting for the next job, waiting for something else to come along and change things… nevermind.

What did I do during all of those years that I can’t remember?

It’s okay. I’ve got other things to do.

I signed up for a Ymail account (Yahoo’s new email system that’s supposed to be cool? awesome?) – I don’t really know what I’ll use it for since ummmm… since I have like 10 email addresses, all signed-up for various things that I no longer care for. But still. The chance to have another ‘MarkRoX@domain.com’ email address is always too much for me to ignore.

For dinner we walked ourselves down the street to El Myr. Good stuff. And again – much better than The Albert. (I am still really annoyed by that place…) We’re definitely going to get our bikes all ready to go – just for these trips down the road because it always starts out as ‘not hot’ and then we end up dying from the humidity by the time we get there. And then the walk back? After we’re full of food and beer? Yeah. It’s even worse. So. Bikes!

In case you haven’t noticed – we have a donation counter over there at the top of the sidebar. Actually, the reason it’s there is because I’m using it as an example of an online donation meter that we can use for this fundraiser we’re doing with StandUp for Kids. But – I thought it would be kind of funny to have a fund raiser for our lunch. So we’ll see right? Eh.

For some reason, I can’t take good pictures of beer. Bottles? Nope. No matter how cool a label they have, I just haven’t figured it out yet. This one? Blurry. I’ll have to practice more. (which obviously entails more beer drinking!)

Burritos are trouble for me too – I think mainly because I can’t hold still. In one had I’m holding the thing and in the other I’m pressing the camera button. 99% of the time it’s blurrrrrry. Still. This one was good. Probably the best grilled fish burrito I’ve ever had… but I haven’t really had too many if any. Still. Good. Awesome. Filling. Worth the $7. That’s another thing – El Myr isn’t over priced at all. AND, you can get a $6 pitcher of PBR. Sure it’s not super great beer… but there are times when PBR is the right choice.

This week… was pretty consistent and it didn’t fly by, but it didn’t exactly drag on either. I’m not worn out, I just see a lot of work ahead. I am happy that I’m learning quite a bit and it’s all going to payoff soon. Mostly computer junk and software that I should already know but for some reason don’t yet. Still. I’m brilliant and I can do anything because I wear glasses – and they help to maximize my knowledge intake.

If you aren’t on Yelp.com – you should get on there – and then you should stop by the Yelp event on the 17th so you can hangout with us for a while this Thursday. That’d be awesome.

Anna & Chris came over last Tuesday evening and hung out. Sure it might not sound like much – but you have to understand that this was the 1st time that Leah and I have ever had anyone over to our place (on purpose) to just hangout. Our last place was so unbearable that we just never had anyone over – ever – at least not for hours at a time and just hanging out.

Oh Look. A Sandwich!

This is the turkey sandwich that Leah got for me on her way home last night. It’s from Alon’s Bakery in the Virginia-Highlands area and ummmm yeah – it ROCKED as much as this picture makes it look. That was a Great sandwich. I don’t even really like sandwiches that much (I say that… and then I realize that yeah – yeah I do.) Oh. Here’s another look! Food! Food!

… I’ve been really busy with things at work and life in general (school/work/school/not having a working dryer) – and I feel like I haven’t been reading people’s blogs lately – but I have! I just haven’t been commenting as much since I’ve been reading them all thru NewsGator – I think someone else said the same thing happened to them. But still. Ummm Don’t know where I was going with this. Y’all are awesome? Right!

In other news – have you ever tried to make your own social network? Like, say your name is Leah – and instead of Myspace, you create LeahSpace – where everyone gets their own individual ‘page’ and everyone can network with everyone else and blah blah blah.

Background!: StandUp for Kids is completely volunteer run except for like 2 people (maybe just 1) – and in each city a group of organized volunteers go out onto the streets on a regular basis and hand out food and hygiene packs to homeless youth. Some cities only have ’street teams’ and other ones – like here in Atlanta, have actual Outreach Centers. At the center, we also give out the food/hygiene packs but also provide a dinner, shower facilities, computers, legal help, medical care (nurse!), ID/Social Security cards (help getting), and even housing aid.

But again – all volunteer run.

Enough of that though. SO. Birthdays are sometimes the end of the line for kids and their time spent at StandUp – when they turn 22 they are no longer eligible to receive our services. Last night one of the regular youth had her 22nd birthday and so, along with goodbyes – there was cake.

Oh it’s getting Late. I love Leah!

It was quite the awesome weekend. We did lots of stuff – with our very social 4th of July – and then we kind of just spent the weekend together. Hanging out, unpacking, building Ikea furniture (we put the sofa together, and then our big bookshelf (photos later of course!)) and then ate and ate and ate. Seriously. The food is making me tired. SO…. cutting back on that now. At least the amount that we eat out – and then also the stuff that “I” eat when we eat out – cause I have no controls. I enjoy the stuff too much and it just makes me tired – especially since I know the difference between now and when I eat ‘right’ as far as energy foods and stuff like that. Ya know? As opposed to the general sluggish feeling of beer, and fried foods. (But they’re oh so good.)

Breakfast @ Belly again – but we took some photos outside this time. This is the Coca-Cola wall.

Oh. And don’t worry – we rock at cooking (hahaha, no we don’t – well, we’re okay – Leah ROCKS at baking though) and we’ll take photos of that food. Obviously we’re not going to give up the food photos. They’re just ‘our thing’ ya know? Man. Just think what it would be like around these parts if I had never been told about the ‘macro’ setting.

Running. Yes. I know I’ve mentioned how I was going to pick up running – and for me – I did. That means I’ve gotten to the point of running around 2-3 miles a day (on those days when I go to the gym) pretty well – but I’m going to have to raise that now. We’ll see right? Right. (Oh, and don’t think I run fast – a 10 minute mile is excellent for me – I was an offensive lineman when I played high school football – we run 5 feet at most during each play so it’s not like we were anything like Kenyan marathoners.)

Tuesday. Tuesday our internet gets hooked up. So no more ummm….tapping into the neighbor’s signal. Thank you neighbor. This past week would’ve been completely unbearable without your low signal/regularly dropping wi-fi. And still… Um. Let’s be awesome this week. Tomorrow. I’m gonna hit you with many, many food photos. Dead or alive you’re coming with me. (For some reason, Robocop popped into my head just now.)

So on the day of the move (yesterday – Tuesday) I couldn’t find my Canon A570 camera, so I ended up having to use my 1.3 megapixel A10! These shots (except for the glorious fried chicken) are at 1.3 um, quality. But still! We’ve moved to Inman Park and we are both very, very, very happy about that. Of course, we understand that it’s a bit of a fortunate opportunity to be able to move a new place that you actually want to move to – as opposed to moving to a certain house/apartment out of necessity.

You know what’s also cool? There are at least two unsecured wifi signals here – and that helps a great deal since I was slow to call Comcast and have them transfer the internet/cable – and they won’t be out until this coming Tuesday – so that would’ve been 7 days without internet if it weren’t for these wifi signals. Plus, we don’t get the free City of Decatur wifi out here either. And now it’s time for a glorious fried chicken break!

Mmmmm. It’s golden breaded fat infused chicken goodness.

Hiring movers is totally worth the money if you can spare a few hundred. We used Mark the Mover (a bit on the high side I think @$140 per hour – but they worked hard and we had a lot of stuff) and this is the second time we’ve used them. Both times have been good experiences. I think it also helped a lot that it was the perfect weather for a move. It was cool in the morning and it didn’t get too hot by the time they finished. Oh yeah, we also bought them some Krispy Kreme donuts and water bottles + generous tips for each of the 3 people.

This is a picture of One-Two at the old house – if he looks big-as-in-size that’s because he IS a big cat, and so is Three-Four. Like usual, Three-Four has been brave and running all over the new apartment checking things out while One-Two has been hiding and slinking along the ground since we got here. The differences in their personalities are so much fun.

Oh look! More Glorious Fried Chicken and this time it’s coming at ya!

Um. Did we mention that this is church property that we now live on? Yes.

So. We’ve started the unpacking process. Everything’s in boxes and we’re trying to make our way through all of the kitchen boxes so we can stop eating out so much and finally start cooking – at least dinner. Then we have to put our new Ikea bed together and the sofa!

Oh. So apparently – according to the excellent Lizerati – we were recognized while at Kroger getting groceries tonight. AND – I remember the three people too! (They were the only group of three giving us odd looks.) BUT that’s awesome. (You’d think that we were used to people looking at us oddly in general for no real reason at all anyways.)

As left by Lizerati in the comments section of the last post:

Internet fame has caught up with you guys! I found this site via the couch post on the atlanta lj community (or was it LJ-atlanta?) and added it to my google reader a week or two ago. Tonight, two of my friends and I (lorigami and glueandglitter on LJ) saw you at the Edgewood Kroger and had a whole discussion about if it was you two or not. And if it was creepy or not that we were staring at you and trying to figure out if it was leahandmark or not. (admittedly, this was after some sake at ru-sans)

So, um, welcome to the neighborhood!

And with that… goodnight.

Wow. We’re really, really tired. Who knew we had so much stuff? Especially after you actually box EVERYTHING. It’s so much stuff – I wish I had a picture – well, I do, but there are technical difficulties and so I can’t post a picture of the boxes/furniture right now. Later I guess. So today you receive stock photos from um, well, from whenever over the past few weeks.

Exhausted is the appropriate term to describe the two of us. Seriously. Leah’s asleep right now and I’m still up having just finished my latest paper/homework assignment due tonight at midnight Mountain Time. Ummm. Fortunately, today was a relatively cool day so we were able to get the packing almost done without battling too much heat. It was actually kind of tolerable inside of our house. But we get to not live here anymore starting tomorrow! That’s so awesome. You have no idea.

Insert Text Here

Moving out of this rundown shack is just another major step in the next step of our lives. Well, not really a ‘major’ step, just a big change. A physical change. Because we’ve lived here since we arrived in Atlanta and have been through a lot of uncomfortable times in this house. So uncomfortable that I almost doubt that we’ll even look back fondly on our time spent here. Seriously. You know how you can look back on a terrible experience and somehow the ‘good’ things come to the surface and that’s what you mostly remember? I doubt that’ll happen with this place. It’s just… we’re SO ready to get out of here. Leah was ready to get out of here 12 months ago. Yes. We’ve been here for 1.5 years.

Although there are probably some memories that’ll come to the surface after we’ve been away for a while. But definitely not anytime soon. Still. The new place is better in every possible way. Location. Central AC/Heat, insulation! modern fixtures! water pressure! two walkin closets! And um, Location!

So while Leah prepares to stop working at her job, and I prepare to um, be working, things are moving along nicely and somehow, we keep going without too much trouble (at least not enough trouble that it would force us to actually write about it here – cause if that happened, then you’d know it was SERIOUS.)

But I’m tired now. Good night and have an awesome Tuesday! ‘Aw heck. You know we’ll blog again tomorrow too.

Ah. Back when I used to run – A LOT.

1st. Y’all need to blog today so I can read.

So it’s finally Friday. Exciting times up ahead. Packing. No really, we are coming down to the wire now since the movers will come on Tuesday morning – so we’ll be doing the majority of the packing tonight and then all day Saturday and whatever’s left on Sunday.

Because writing an actual entry would take too much effort on this Friday… I’ll just talk about someone else’s entries. But first! Food that I’ve been meaning to post – but never got around to – these are from a birthday lunch that Leah’s Grandmother (Bubbi) prepared for Leah’s Father:

Homemade Fried Chicken!

Biscuits

Pecan Pie.

And you may all let go of any self control. Eat good food this weekend.

After going down the links in my sidebar to catch myself up on everyone’s posts (I really should set up that rss feed reader) – I stopped to read the latest entries from our friend Ark A. – also an Atlanta resident/transplant – about her recent trip to Canada/Toronto/Montreal. – and in the process made me feel like I’m wasting my time posting nothing posts that meander about infinitely worthless subjects. *writes note to self: ummmm… nevermind I forgot*

So while I wait for the next season of No Reservations/Anthony Bourdain to verify that this past season is where the show truly ‘Jumped the Shark’ – I just have to keep looking for travel blogs/entries like the ones Ark A. posted this last week.

The trip to Canada started on a Friday morning. A simple two hour direct flight from Atlanta and we were in Toronto International Airport, the cleanest, quietest most spacious airport I’ve ever seen.
Dad picked us up. He couldn’t believe it had been almost five years since we saw each other.
He said I hadn’t changed a bit. I love him.
This is what I call smiling so hard it hurts…

I have a lot of history in that neighborhood. Loves found, loves lost, school, work, old friends, new friends, formulating the plan to get to Seattle to meet the whole other half of my family – it all happened there.

And then when they land back in Atlanta:

A two hour flight later, I was in what can only be described as severe culture shock… Hotter than hell, humid, southern accents all around me, no French, a pig carcass that had been cooked in the ground on a long buffet table, a live auction for football jerseys and country music star albums. Where am I?

And… apparently she’s back in Montreal now. Lucky her.

Here are the three posts in order:

Return to Canada – Part One: Toronto

Have a great weekend! – But obviously, we’ll have a new post up tomorrow.
