An American/British Wedding…

FIRST OF ALL – This may have been one of the best weddings I’ve ever attended. And that statement is based on just being human. Being a photographer enhanced the whole day/night for me. “American/British Wedding” – The bride is American and the groom is British. Like straight from England, British. Three of the groomsmen were obviously British as well. They had never even been to the states before. These guys were a BLAST. Judy and James were absolutely fantastical. Period. Their wedding party also …read more

So, I finally found the perfect location for the “fall themed” photo shoot I wanted to do. This may have been harder than finding the models! Wow. A friend of mine suggested the ‘Dunwoody Nature Center’, clearly in the Dunwoody area. It was more than perfect! All kinds of options: beautiful trees, bridges, leaves changing colors, streams, rocks, big boulders, paths, and open spaces. This place had it all. I’m super glad that I did not rush the shoot because I knew I’d find that …read more

Hey! I recently shot a pretty amazing family on Panama City Beach. My friends there are just like family to me, so I try to get back whenever I can! Last time I was there, I took some photos of my godson, Forrest (adorable strawberry blond little boy). If you saw the post, there’s no way you forgot this kid! Period. After Forrest’s nanna saw some of the photos, I was asked to shoot their immediate family on the beach. I was stoked about this! …read more

After the shoot at ZenTea, the models and I wandered around for a bit to get more shots. We found some pretty interesting things in the area. Did I mention Chamblee is quite the little town? If you haven’t been there, you should definitely go. No doubt. You never know what kinds of interesting things an area is going to offer until you get out of your car, walk around, and check things out. We lucked up on a few very different ideas. The ladies …read more

A ‘square’ part of town…

Intern Brittney and I teamed up for a small shoot in an old part of Marietta. The town square to be exact. I love towns like this! They’re old, rustic, and full of charm. We had two male models. I mainly worked with Jay. The guys were great and easy to work with. Since we didn’t have a female models to pair the guys up with, it was a little bit of a struggle. Especially when it came to posing the guys together. But hey …read more

Here. We. Go. Intern Aly and I made our way to North Carolina to shoot Alisha and David’s wedding. Once we got up the crooked/curvy road to the ceremony site, I was blown away. You just don’t see views like this in South Georgia. We were on the edge of a mountain overlooking other mountains in the distance. It  was breathtaking. Period. Alisha got ready in a rustic cabin with no electricity, a wood burning fireplace, and a well watered pump as the faucet for …read more

The antique row district of Chamblee. The place is pretty unique. Intern Brittany and I got together for a small shoot in this area. It was right near where Intern Jo and I had done our shoot at “ZenTea”. I wondered around after that shoot trying to find good locations. I found this amazing five & dime store. This guy has more antiques than I have ever seen in one places. American Pickers – eat your hearts out! This guy really has some one of …read more

Ok. So check this. Sooji’s shoot was at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel. And it happened to be during AWA weekend. Oh AWA is “Anime Weekend Atlanta”. Just in case. I wasn’t aware either. It’s a three-day Japanese Animation and comics convention that have every year in HOTlanta. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. When I walked into the lobby of the hotel to meet our ‘crew’, I was like….WHOA. “What are these people wearing”?! Again, I had no idea what this …read more

Who likes hot tea? You do? Awesome. You’ll love this place then! Jo and I hit up Zen Tea in the quaint little town of Chamblee for a small shoot. This place has ALL kinds of tea! Whatever you could want, I’d imagine. I, personally, am not a hot tea drinker. I like things simple…sweet tea with ice will do. I did, however, try some of the teas that Jo ordered. The green tea was my favorite. I definitely had to add sugar. They have …read more

Hey! This was the shoot that I set up for all the interns – and myself, of course. Mark joined us for this one. Thank god because I probably overdid it with the models. But I like to have ENOUGH! Too few is no good. Intern Aly also joined us. And photographer Carrie – one of Mark’s friends. We had eight models total. Wow. The location was fantastic. We were at the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth. If you haven’t been there, it’s more than …read more

Intern Meagan and I accompanied +Raven on a fun couples shoot in Athens. We all met at the State Gardens. This was my first trip to Athens, so I was blown away by the gardens. They were beautiful! I’m definitely going back. I wasn’t sure if the couple was a client of +Raven’s or just buddies of hers. I observed. And did what I could to get some interesting shots. This couple was a lot of fun! They were all smiles and giggling the whole …read more

Intern Brittney’s shoot was in Piedmont Park. I love this place. I’m not sure if it’s because of all the nature or just all of the different options I have as a photographer at this location. I’ll go with….a little bit of both! Anyhoo – Britt rounded up three fantastic models for her shoot. These people were *great*. They were funny and just a good time to be around. Interns Meagan and Chris showed up for the shoot too. Here’s what I got. Meagan and …read more
