Debra set up a ZOMBIE shoot with the Georgia State Dancers, and one of our models from a previous shoot, Corinna, came out to fix up their scary zombie makeup! It was awesome! We had them do dance routines. They were pretty freaking fantastic. After we had our fun with dances, we had more fun pretending to be Zombies!!! AHHH!!!! We made them do alot of zombie stuff like, well, your normal zombie activities. Chasing people. Trying to eat them. Just looking like Evil scary …read more

Marietta Square

Last Friday me and Jennifer got together once again for another photo shoot but, this time, in Marietta! Our two models were Jay, and Kevin. It was the first time that we didn’t have a female model, but it was really cool because we were able to focus more on just the male models. Both Jay and Kevin were excellent models, I’m glad they were able to come out. I’m glad it was so nice outside that day! Rain wasn’t in the forecast but it …read more
Beyond China Town
LeahAndMark.com | Atlanta Wedding Photographers
Me and Jennifer got together for a shoot on the back side of China Town! There was lots of railroad tracks, and old antique *ahem*, junk store and random 18 wheeler trailers sitting around with graffiti on them. It was def not your normal take-a-picture scene but it was definitely interesting enough for us to want to photograph it. Thanks to Jenn for scouting the area! To be honest, the day did not start out well. None of my models showed up til a complete …read more
Lil5pts and Inman!

Today! Me and +Debra shot a couple around Little Five Points and Inman Park. It was the first time i actually explored the area and to say less it was “different” haha but Adam and Christine were awesome! It’s definitely a different experience photographing a real couple than just a random pair of models. I liked it. Alot. Of course anyone can tell they’re a cute couple! Kissy Kissy all day long =P I had alot of fun though. This is the first time I …read more
Sweat is Good

Last wednesday I did a photoshoot by myself at Chastain Park with my awesome model, Chase. He is in pretty good shape so we did a Fitness shoot! I LOVE ATHLETICS!!! I think it was alot easier for me to come up with different shots with this shoot than it is with posing couples or making people look pretty but I’m working on that too… BUT! I wanted to go back to my first love, sports… Only… Put a twist on it. Sports + Portraits. …read more
Piedmont Park

Wednesday was my day to set up a photo shoot for the other interns. I decided on more “grown-up” models and Piedmont Park. It turned out pretty well and I’m glad that most of the interns were able to come. The models were awesome! Elle, John, Brian, you guys are great! I was planning on taking more open pictures in the field but everything was super wet from the dew. It took about an extra hour to rise than it did the day before. So, …read more

Aly invited us to come shoot with her Monday morning in Lawrenceville. I live in midtown so Lawrenceville is quite far away so I asked Jo if i could carpool with her and she said I could. =) We met at 8:20, or at least that’s what I was supposed to do. Instead I got a call at 8:25 from Jo. Oh Crap! I must have overslept again! Thankfully Jo is amazing and offered to pick me up at my apartments instead. Thank You Jo!! …read more
Pretty Dead Girl
LeahAndMark.com | Atlanta Wedding Photographers
So, last Thursday, Mark was like who want’s to shoot Friday morning? Me! I was off work Friday so of course I wanted to! We worked on foreground and background objects as well as light and negative spaces. As Mark always says.. Photography is all about light, composition and, most importantly, emotion -Mark Maybe that’s why our model was dead, haha but it does make sense to have her play dead so we can work more on other important things instead of what she’s doing …read more
Fire on top the Roof

Last Friday, Meagan set up a photoshoot on top of a parking deck, in a disclosed location *wink wink*. All of our models showed up at different times of the night which was nice because it gave us time to work with them separately without having to exclude another model. I think our models worked well together especially Daniel letting John get so close to him with spinning balls of fire!!!! RAWRRRRR!!!! Yeah. Tough like that. It was very nice though. A real fun night …read more
River shoot with Debra
LeahAndMark.com | Atlanta Wedding Photographers
Last Monday I had the opportunity to come along with Debra on a river shoot. This was our second shot together and I have to say, Debra is pretty freaking awesome! She was explaining to me about taking shots at different angles w/o actually having to move the models. You just have to move your body. So I was trying to exercise that alot that day and I think… I may have… Took way toooooo many shots. But! On the positive side, taking too many …read more
Lighting Workshop
LeahAndMark.com | Atlanta Wedding Photographers
Wednesday we gathered at the studio to learn more about lighting. I’ve always shot with either stadium lighting or natural light so I had no idea when it came to any kind of lashes and light modifiers. There are so many different ways to get different types of light like, constant light, strobe light, flashes, soft boxes, umbrellas, shoot-throughs, reflectors. There’s probably more that I’m not remembering at the moment. It’s alot to take in but I’m sure I understand most of it. I can …read more

Fall is here
LeahAndMark.com | Atlanta Wedding Photographers
Fall is here, but the great thing about Atlanta is it’s not snowing and it’s not even cold. It’s actually warm and I love it. Thanks to Jennifer for finding this amazing spot and to both Jennifer and Aly for bringing along more models as well =) Much appreciated girls! This last photo shoot concludes our LeahandMark internship and it’s kinda sad but I did learn alot. Some of these models I’ve worked with before, some I haven’t. It was nice to see them again and …read more
