One of my favorite parts of working with LeahAndMark is meeting the new interns! Every three months the LeahAndMark family grows to include a new crop of amazing individuals.
Season [NINE] is awesome. I mean like really awesome…in your face amazing! I know Mark says every season is the best ever and it’s true. The internship is constantly evolving and getting better because the interns are raising the bar. From the past few weeks of working with season 9 I can tell future seasons are going to have a lit to live up to this season is driven!
Since the level of interns is constantly increasing, my obligation as a + is to make sure the shoots I invite the interns to are consistently amazing. I don’t want to waste their time by setting up a shoot that is boring or half assed. I need to set them up so that it is worth their time. Not to say that I’m going to control every aspect and go easy on them because I’m not! They need to learn how to deal with less than ideal lighting, surroundings etc. it just needs to be something that they can learn from and write a killer blog post about.
Also what’s great about this season is that they aren’t waiting around for us to ask them on shoots. They are setting up shoots or checking out the calendar and asking us if they can go on shoots with us.
I am looking forward to working with season 9 even more over the next few months. I can’t wait to see what the rest of the season holds. I can tell you this…it’s going to be awesome!
