Jenny + Abhineet | Wedding preview

10 May ’11

We’ll get to the proper introductions later on. For now – Intern Gabriel has leveled up and this is +Gabriel’s first wedding post with us – and WOW – he’s really pulling out all the stops. He was photographing this wedding in Goldsboro, N.C. while I was photographing a wedding in Wilmington, N.C. – We cannot express how happy we are to have +Gabriel working with us here at LeahAndMark.com

I have always prided myself at being able to emotionally connect to my photos. What I didn’t understand was that there are a million other photographers out there who do the Exact. Same. Thing. That was a big let down for me at first, because I REALLY do love the emotion in my photography, and thought that it in and of itself was unique.

My time as an intern with LeahAndMark opened my eyes to a whole new world of photography. I had previously told myself that all the ways that I wasn’t shooting was by preference, that I just didn’t want to shoot that way. The truth is, that I just had never taken the time to learn those different ways, and I was shooting myself in the foot because of it.

My photography has changed drastically over the past 3 months. I think of things differently, I SEE things differently. And I can only hope that change continues to progress and find its ways into other areas that I am not as comfortable with.

I still have an emotional connection with my photos. I really feel that each one tells an important story, and that is what I want to do with my photography. The difference now is that I do everything I can to tell those stories from a perspective that not everyone else is telling it from.

These pictures are from Abhineet and Jenny’s wedding in Goldsboro, NC. The wedding was a traditional Hindu Indian wedding and it was awesome. I know that nearly every post you read about a wedding includes a line from the photographer saying it was awesome. But really.

It. Was. Awesome.

This may be the most gorgeous wedding ever. Such rich colours and textures. Beautifully captured, as well. Well done, Gabriel.

I don’t know how to express my feelings about these pictures without cursing in a very unfamily-friendly kind of way. Amazing, Gabe, amazing. Simply gorgeous. Welcome to the team. 😀

    Gabe:
    WOWIE ZOWIE! =)
My heart is bursting with pride and joy! You did such a wonderful job…But you always do a good job when your heart is in it!
Congratulations to you for following that heart and on having that heart recognized by LeahAndMark.

these are great. I always have wanted to witness an indian and a chineese one. Im a bit envious. They have such different rituals and are full or bright beautiful colors that are so different than our american perceptions of the wedding ceremoney. these are very nice shots and Ill say again I am envious of you, in a props to ya, good way.
