So. Our new friend cards arrived the other day. They’re slightly smaller than we imagined – but the quality of the prints are really great. …

If anything, I’m generally quite proud of how successful we are as weekenders. While staying home is always a welcome treat (especially when you’re so …
Is It Really Friday Night?

Has it already been a week since I’ve been out of a job? Whoa. Fortunately, one of the people that received my resume from a friend of a friend (literally) called me today so hopefully I’ll have some interviews this coming week. Good stuff – plus they’re for somewhat name-brand firms if not excellent companies. Keep’em coming… which reminds me, I do need to get my resume over to one of the Twelpers who offered to pass it on. It’s weird to be home all week with Leah here half of the time too – since she’s going to school full time but only has class 2 days a week and then some hours at her part time job (and she telecommutes for most of it.) I know our cats OneTwo and ThreeFour are really appreciating all of the attention they’re getting since we’ve been able to spend so much more time with them lately.
What do we have planned for this weekend? Lots of homework, some coffeeshops to visit, and even a few parties/gatherings to drop in on. We looked at wedding bands today (as in um, rings, not music bands) and wow, we’re so not expensive and extreme. It’s quite awesome and sensible.
And still. We’ve been hearing lots of feedback on our blog lately (and I need to comment on other people’s more often – I DO READ them though.
and it’s so awesome and cool. Clearly we put ourselves out there much more than a lot of people, especially since we can’t seem to stick to any ‘theme’ like you’re supposed to have when you’re a serious blogger. I think this blog has grown at the same rate that we’ve grown here in Atlanta. Since this blog is reflection of our life here – it’s a good thing that we didn’t start it until this year – last year would’ve been much less interesting. Even though we lived here in Atlanta, we didn’t really get out much. We didn’t make many new friends and hardly saw the ones we already had. I don’t know what I’m getting at but I know there are a lot more people to get to know, a lot more people to help, and just a world out there that needs help in so many ways – ways that clearly we can’t fix except for a short list. Still. That’s what Leah’s all about and more often these days it’s what I’m all about. Well. Sometimes I am.
If anything, I know that I’ll need to get out more during this coming week. Staying home and ‘working’ on things is kind of driving me crazy. It’s that whole thing where when you have a job, all you wish for is free time to do whatever you want… and now that I have it… I wish I had something to take up my time – I suppose that’s my fault and lack of productivity. Time to fix that this week.
