Our New Moo Cards (Friend Cards!) & Zyka

So. Our new friend cards arrived the other day. They’re slightly smaller than we imagined – but the quality of the prints are really great. For this set we used some photos we took in China – some with us in them, and some that we just really liked. Can you tell that I really like that one of the Tibetans on the bus? (I’ve posted it about a billion times here.)

This is what the back of the cards look like:

(It says ‘Hello Friend’ in Mandarin)

As far as the job hunt goes… I believe that I’m no longer in the running for one of those jobs that I interviewed for a few weeks ago (I found the job posted again on careerbuilder) – and it doesn’t really bother me, but it would definitely have been nice if the HR person could have at least let me know that I was no longer being considered for the position like she had said she would. And I know that without an actual confirmation then I’m just assuming things… but still, after 8 rounds of interviews spaced out over the course of a month and nothing yet – clearly I’m not hinging my future on that one pulling through.

The major goal for this next week is to really clean our apartment and make it suitable for a party/get together for all of our old friends + new friends from Yelp + Twelp + people we actually met through LeahAndMark.com – ha, our small small internet fame and networking with our awesome friend cards. Oh yeah, and going down to get that unemployment process going so we can stretch out the savings a little further than we could without.

Finally, the other day we had dinner at our favorite cheap fast Indian joint – Zyka the Taste on Church rd. in Decatur. Um. Here’s some video.

Yay for your new Moo.com Friend Cards! When mine arrived I also had that feeling of “these are too small” which inevitably leads to “I don’t think I like them.” You’ll love the smaller size and I’ve found that their unique shape actually extends the conversation you’re having with the proud Friend Card recipient (instead of explaining how dorky you are for having your own website and then trying to act cool by asking them to join in your conversation, you can kinda bypass that and just start talking about the card… that might just be me, though).
