Awesomeness
Everyone wants a glimpse of our new place!
Yes, it’s really awesome. We love it SO much! We promise to take pictures once we get unpacked and get all the Ikea furniture assembled. I’m looking forward to the long weekend ahead… we can get a bunch of stuff done around here and get to know our new ‘hood. I want to bike down Edgewood and see how long it takes me to get to my future field placement (the Georgia Justice Project) and then onwards to Georgia State.
Also, in case you didn’t already know, I have a super-awesome fiancé. (Okay total tangent for a sec - it peeves me to no end when I see people - especially people who are involved in Wedding-things for a profession - confuse fiancé and fiancée. Now that I’ve been researching wedding stuff, I’m appalled at how often this happens. I know not everyone has studied French. I get that. But it’s become an English-language term, too. If you call your male future husband your fiancée, you have just made him a girl in my eyes. Likewise, I don’t have any boy-parts and thus I am not a fiancé. Two Es = she. Get it? Got it? Good. And if you don’t know how to do the accent mark (always over the FIRST e), hold down the ALT key and type in 0233 on the # pad. Presto, change-o, we have accent aigu! And now I’ll shut up.)
So, back to my awesome fiancé… yeah… we were supposed to meet at the old apartment last night to clean it up and get the last few remnants of Stuff We Still Want - a task I was very muchly NOT looking forward to - but when I get there, guess what I found? The place was already clean! Mister SneakyPants (aka Mark) had arrived around 3:00 and cleaned the whole place.
And, in case you didn’t notice…since I obviously didn’t and he finally had to tell me… he’s been leaving me secret notes. Right here on the website. See if you can find them. I’m sure it’ll be easier for you since you know where to look. I searched the house for 20 minutes first. Sheesh.
